Starting as a youth in Kingston, Jamaica around 1970, Pablo played the Melodica, Keyboards and Organ as he went on to record a mellow, almost psychedelic sounding reggae that he could produce. He recorded numbers of albums consisting of dub and his own style. Many of which have made a large impact on reggae like his album "East of the River Nile". Also his notable work with Hugh Mundell on the album "Africa Must Be Free By 1983".
Unfortunately Augustus Pablo passed away in 1999 of a nervous disorder that he suffered from for the most of his life. His soul lives on through his music.
