In the early 1990's Beenie Man hooked up with his little brother "Little Kirk" to record a few songs and this ended up with Beenie Man at Reggae Sunsplash in 1992. Soon after he began his DJ battles with Bounty Killer. Beenie Man has been a loved Reggae DJ in Jamaica for most of his life. However it wasn't until 1994 when he began to break the ranks and become a star. In 1984 at the age of 10 he recorded the original version of "Under mi Sensi" with Barrington Levy.
Later he went on to release a verion of Bob Marley's "No Woman No Cry" called "No Mama No Cry". This brought Beenie Man international fame. Nonstop hits have been coming from Beenie Man since the Late 1990's including works with Wyclef Jean.
