Being from the same Kingston neighborhood as Shabba Ranks and Bounty Killer, ?O?Neil Bryan? or Elephant Man was close to talent at a young age. In the mid 1990's Bounty Killer and Elephant Man formed a group together called the Seaview Family but after a Bounty Killer song became a hit ?Guns Scare Dem? they changed their name to "Scare Dem Crew". They only released one album under this name before they broke up and went solo. Bounty Killer made it solo long before Elephant Man. But after the Scare Dem Crew would play together from time to time, Elephant Man got a chance to prove himself.
Over the past four years since Elephant Man has become big he has been able to play with hip hop artists such as Busta Rhymes and Mariah Carey. This landed him a major recording contract that promotes him internationally.
