All of the best of Jamaican reggae are brought together each year to Montego Bay, Jamaica for the ultimate reggae festival "Sumfest".
Sumfest goes all night long for a week with each night themed for a different style of reggae. Dancehall night is always the biggest hit among the locals. The festival is without a doubt the best in the world when it comes to who you will see there. However the quality of the festival itself is iffy at best. The music and the sounds of that rhythmic bass it unrivaled, but Jamaica is not exactly the safest place in the world when you venture out from your all inclusive resort.
It is definitely worth the trip as the concert goes all night which leaves the days to hang out at the beach. The combination of reggae and the tropics are perfect.
